Guy has been sending arrangements to the King’s Singers for years, but to no avail. Close harmony arranging is a speciality, and apart from writing for his own groups, Four Men in Accord and Odd One Out, he has written many numbers for the Lay Clerks if Southwell Minster to sing at concerts and entertainments. His music has been sung by Cantabile – the London Quartet for many years, and has been taken on more recently by Voces8. Both groups have recorded and broadcast his music. But until now the King’s singers have always eluded him. However they have recently taken his arrangement of the traditional Italian Lullaby, ‘Dormi, Dormi’ into their repertoire and are including it on a forthcoming recording.
