The premiere of Guy’s Folksong Sequence will appear in Bingham Choral Society’s Jubilee ‘Prom’ concert on November 26th 2022 (postponed from the previous year because of Covid). Bingham Choral will be joined by Mansfield Choral Society, Nottingham Symphony Orchestra, and Judy Louie Brown, mezzo.
The concert will also feature a performance of Guy’s orchestration of Edgar Bainton’s ‘And I Saw a New Heaven’

As part of the Heritage Lottery Fund Leaves project at Southwell Minster (https://www.southwellminster.org/theme/leaves-of-southwell/) Guy has written SONGS OF THE FOREST, five children’s songs based on folk tales, and all connected with animals and trees. This will be premiered by a large choir of children at a celebration concert on June 8th at Southwell Minster.

Guy has produced another lock down piece – Toccata Festiva for organ. It is an energetic pieces, full of irregular rhythms and sparkling chords, but neither challenging for the listener or too difficult for the player. A number of organists have started playing it at services, and some are planning to include it in recitals when they become possible again. It has already made appearances in Ripon, Dulwich, Lincoln, Harrogate, Saffron Walden and Biggleswade.

Guy has composed a new Missa Brevis (Kyrie, Sanctus/Benedictus/Agnus) for the Men of Southwell Minster Choir, which was given its first performance at a service on February 7th. It varies from three to 6 parts, with organ accompaniment.
